Year 3 and Year 4
Welcome to year 3/4
We had an exciting start to our term this year as we received a letter from a museum asking us to create our own! The children had to complete a maths treasure hunt in order to find clues. Each clue represented part of the topic. Once we had all of the image clues we discovered our topic was the Stone Age.
Each week we will travel to the past from as far back as the Stone Age to the Iron and Bronze Age. We will find out about tools, weapons, clothing, housing, farming and how life has changed through the ages. This will include history lessons as well as literacy, maths, ICT and art activities. Also in Science the children will be learning about rocks and completing investigations and research.
At the end of the topic the children will create and host their own museum afternoon for parents and carers to come along and learn all about our Topic. We look forward to seeing you there!
