Options for the future of education in North Tyneside – share your views

North Tyneside Council has been working with its schools, colleges and partners to review education in the borough.

Today (Monday, 22 September) sees the start of a four-week consultation on three options that have been put forward for securing the future of education in the borough.

Parents and carers are being invited to take part in the consultation, and share their views. To find out more, please visit www.northtyneside.gov.uk/schoolsreview

Parents and carers who are North Tyneside residents should also receive a printed copy of the consultation document with their Our North Tyneside magazine, which will be delivered to their home in the next two weeks.

  • New School Awards!

    Sun 14 Sep 2014

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of your children, and the staff who work with them, Fordley Primary School has been awarded the International School Award and the Silver Primary Science Quality Mark until 2017!

In order to achieve both awards, a high standard of involvement in international links and a high quality  of teaching and learning in science had to be reached.

A special thank you goes to Mrs McArdle for leading on the International School Award, and Mrs Mazzucchi for leading on the Primary Science Quality Mark.

    Our next challenges are:

    • the Artsmark Award
    • the Anti-Bullying Quality Mark
    • the Basic Skills Quality Mark

We will keep you posted on our progress in working towards all of these areas.
