Mental Health and Wellbeing Support

We know that children may face barriers to their education and life, including mental health concerns, and we are working closely with the North Tyneside Connect Mental Health Support Team to try to make sure there is access to the right support to help.

The Connect Mental Health Support Team works with 38 of our local schools to deliver low and moderate intensity interventions to support pupils with low mood, anxiety and self-esteem issues.

The aim is to encourage early treatment and prevention to lower the number of children needing long term mental health support. Some of this is done through providing advice and support using tools like the Padlet you can see here, with lots of helpful suggestions for home as well as school   A direct link to this Padlet will be shared on Seesaw and our Facebook page.  If you are worried about your child’s mental health and wellbeing, please get in touch.

WELCOME BACK! We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back on TUESDAY 5th September for the start of another amazing new school year.
