‘Aiming Higher’

A Warm Welcome to Fordley Primary School and to our Fordley Family

As proud headteacher of our fantastic school, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Fordley Primary School, Nursery and Preschool (Fordley Flyers).  We are a large, and growing, primary school and we sit at the heart of our amazing local community.  We serve families who live in Annitsford, Dudley and Fordley but the children who attend our happy, inclusive and nurturing school often come from a much wider catchment area too.

As a school we value:

  • developing children's character skills of:
  • a high quality and engaging curriculum which provides challenge and support for all children
  • an exceptional staff team who value the importance of strong relationships with all of our children to enable them to thrive in a safe and supportive environment
  • a strong and positive partnership with parents, carers and the community - our 'Fordley Family'
  • a committed and knowledgeable governing body who have oversight of all school activities and structures
  • planned visits and visitors for all year groups, linked to our curriculum (see our Key Information section for more information about our curriculum)
  • wider opportunities, after school clubs and residential visits for our older children
  • sporting events and competitions, and partnerships with Newcastle United Foundation and Commando Joes

Our children are at the heart of everything we do, every single day.
